A
Cosmic Shift of Mind & Heart
Repentance is all about the Greek word "metanoia": meta or "after,"
and noia or "mindset, worldview, paradigm or philosophy of life."
Together, meta-noia means "an altered worldview, a re-oriented philosophy
of life, a mental revolution, a cosmic paradigm shift."
After considering such a definition, one might ask, "Whatever happened
to repentance in the church today?" Anton shows us that there are
two big reasons why the church tends to relegate repentance to the dusty
corners of archaic dogma: (1) it doesn't understand or, much worse, (2)
it does understand, but the understanding doesn't fit its "positioning."
As a former marketer for Coca-Cola turned minister, he examines the startling
similarities between consumer marketing strategies and churches' evangelism
methods.
Fresh insights on the true meaning of repentance will bring this book
into your heart and bring about a cosmic shift toward God and his view
of life.

"Understanding
that the call to repentance is rooted and fulfilled in God's grace, Ed
Anton gives us a much-needed and in-depth look at a vital subject, such
as I have not seen anywhere else. It may very well revolutionize not only
your understanding, but your life." Tom Jones, elder, Boston
Church of Christ, editor emeritus DPI
"...a powerful and elegant book. I have always enjoyed and respected
Ed Anton's writing. I believe he is such a clear writer because he is
such a clear thinker. Ed is a strong Christian man who has come to grips
with repentance in his own life and in those of hundreds of others he
has helped through his leadership. He knows what he is talking about.
It does not matter how long someone has been studying God's word; there
is still much to learn on this vital topic. No one will be disappointed
with this new book. REPENTANCE is a book I will be praising wherever
I go."
