This
book introduces you not only to women of the Old Testament, but to godly
women of our generation
Each of the writers, after spending a month with "her woman",
pours out her hearthonestly, sometimes painfully, but always faithfully.
Like the Psalms of David, these readings contain candid admissions of
need, a joyful acceptance of grace, and a clear challange to be faithful
to the God who loves us all.
Just like their sisters of old, our writers are women who have lost husbands,
who have been sexually abused, who have seen their own faithlessness in
response to difficult circumstances. They are real women. They struggle
with pride and self-pity. But they are women who have decided that Jesus
Christ is their life and their salvation. They fervently believe that
dying to self brings about the power and forgiveness of God. And they
live what they belive.
