Contrary to some popular misconceptions that persist even to this day, the bottom line in CR (chemical recovery) ministry is the most outward-focused ministry in the church: Over three thousand people in New York have been baptized by people that have been helped by the CR ministry. The chemical recovery ministry is not a benevolent outreach program. It is not a social program. It is church. It is discipleship. With God, we have found the most effective way of dealing with drugs in the world. It is a unique ministry and it hasn't just helped us in New York; it has saved thousands in other cities who I am confident would otherwise be lost.
