---From the age of six, God put the dream of mission work into the heart of Andy Fleming through the influence of his parents and local church in Beamsville, Ontario, Canada. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Missions’ from Abilene Christian University (Texas) in the fall of 1979, that dream led him even further from home to the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
---By 1984 through unforeseen circumstance and opportunity, the focus of Andy’s mission efforts turned to Northern Europe and the Soviet Union. In 1986, Andy led a church planting to Stockholm, Sweden from which four more churches have since been planted in each of the remaining Nordic countries. In 1991 just six short weeks before the infamous coup, Andy and his wife, Tammy, led a radical team of young Christians to begin a church in Moscow, Russia. God worked powerfully through this couple as they taught and trained Russian converts for the next 8 years, leaving behind some 24 congregations and 10,000 disciples of Jesus throughout all republics of the former Soviet Union.
--- Since 1999, the Flemings have lived in Los Angeles with their daughter, Britain, and son, Justin. They are devoted to the ministry of the Word in L.A. and are now involved in overseeing mission work in the Middle East with plans to return to the foreign mission field in the next few years.
