DVD: Upside Down, The Musical, 1987 version DVD

For years, many of those who enjoyed the original Upside Down musical either performed live in New York or Boston, or on VHS, have asked to have it released again. People tell of literally wearing out their video tapes. This 1987 production of Upside Down, stars Bob Tranchell as Simon Peter, Jerome Williams as Jesus, Sherwin Mackintosh as Paul, Teresa Davis Brown as Abby, David Graham as Simon the Sorcerer and Kevin Darby as Iraiceus.

Digitally enhanced with Dolby sound and extensive editing from the VHS format, this musical reminds us of the sacrifice and the joy of following Jesus, as characterized in the first century church.

DVD: Upside Down - The Musical, 1987 version

NOTE: VHS tape by its nature loses some picture quality that can never be restored. Occasional minor imperfections in the image remain. Shortcomings in the original lighting can never be fully repaired. It is not a studio produced DVD. Studios spend million of dollars for equipment and software to insure quality and compatibility with all DVD players. I did not have access to that. As such I can not guarantee that there won’t be rare compatibility issues with a DVD player. It does not always play well using computer DVD software - but neither do some other DVDs I’ve tried. That having been said, so far the performance on standard DVD players has been beyond my greatest expectation. -Ed Cox, producer for DVD
